I have tons of construction paper I could have easily used to make these 3D hearts. But I really wanted to make this cute Valentine's Day project literally with things you can find around your house without having to go out to buy any materials. With this cold weather..who wants to go out?!? Not me!!! :) This DIY is super fun to make especially with your kids!!! So if you want to know what I used and how to do this, keep reading...
Materials Used:
-Composition Paper
-Scissors
-Highlighters (pink, purple, blue)
-Glue Stick
-Embroidery Thread
Steps
1. Fold 8 sheets of paper together in half
2. From the bottom corner of closed end, cut as if you're cutting half of a heart (view above pic). When opening, you will see all 8 symmetrical hearts.
3. Decorate your hearts as you please. I did some polka dots, strips, hearts and fully colored using highlighters.
4. Fold all hearts in half as they were, apply glue to each one on one side only and start stacking these cuties up.
5. After all are stacked on top of each other and glue is set..open it up, glue a string and glue the first heart and last heart together.
6. And you're DONE!!
You can hang these individually or glue a longer string to add several hearts so you can make an adorable garland like mine :)
