DIY Valentine's Day Heart Frames

I needed more stuff to decorate my home for Valentine's Day so I decided to make this fun project. These Heart Frames are adorable to decor your home or office.

Materials Used:

Cracker box (any box cardboard works well)

Scissors

White gift tissue paper (2)

Scrap cardboard( for making stands)

Glue gun/glue

Glue stick

White construction paper(I used leftover scrap)

Craft paint (red, white & then mix 2 to get pink)

Craft brush to mix paint (or you can use anything)

Sponge (I used a makeup sponge)

Highlighters (blue,purple,pink)

Tape

Embroidery Thread (to hang)

**If I had more white construction paper I'd use that instead of gift tissue paper. Tissue paper is super delicate. Although I had no issues working with it but paper looks a bit wrinkly. I worked with what I had just to show you all how to make this. A painting canvas would be awesome as well :)

Heart Garland

My boyfriend's always buying all kinds of box candies for our sweet tooth LOL!! So of course I recycle them for craft purposes. So I decided to do another DIY for Valentine's Day. Remember you don't have to go buy boxes to make this. Always work with what you have. Anything from a cracker box to a cereal box works perfectly well. To learn how to just keep reading...

Materials used:
Candy boxes
Red sharpie
Embroidery Thread
Scissors
Glue gun with sticks

First gather up all your materials

Open the box

Start cutting in squares

Draw a heart with red sharpie ( red marker or paint) and fill in.

Glue on top of thread (you don't have to fold anything)

Hang. (If hung on the curtains leave long strings on the ends to tie a knot)
And You're Done!!!

Hope you enjoyed and...

Recyclable Boxes DIY Wall Art

I absolutely LOVE using anything I can find around the house and reuse to make new crafts. For example, I had leftover unused gift boxes from Christmas so I figured I could do something with them for Valentine's Day. This project is really fun to try with your kids and super duper easy!! Your imagination is endless!! Feel free to use my idea or make your own cute art using markers, paint, glitter or anything you have available. So if you wanna try this lovely craft, keep reading. :)

Materials Used:
Plain white gift box
Craft paint (red & white)
Craft brush (<---optional..you can also finger paint)
Glue gun or tape

Step 1: Take the bottom plain white box
Step 2: Paint box using red to draw LOVE...and mix white with a little red to make a light pink to add to the             art and let dry.. (You can also finger paint if you have no brushes).
Step 3: Make ribbon, attach with glue and hang. (if no ribbon you can use tape to tape on wall).

And YOU'RE DONE!!!

Candle Floating Craft

I love the idea of decorating with things I already have at my home. Especially recyclable items!! Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I was super antsy about decorating so I started early :P
I wanted to make something that kinda went with my Valentine's Day Tree I made and since I didn't have any rose petals I came up with this and it's super super easy! :D

Materials Used:
-glass cup
-water
-pink gift tissue paper
-candle

So this is how I did this....Fill glass cup with water, add scrap pink tissue paper and candle and you're DONE!!! :) Super fast and easy decorative idea to try.

*Note: Tissue paper is really thin so it will tear/dissolve if you mess with it. If you don't, you're good to go :)

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial and HAPPY CRAFTING!!!

Valentine's Day Wreath

Hey guys!! So I was looking to make a Valentine's Day wreath for my front door but I didn't have the actual wreath to start decorating. I don't want to go out to buy any materials because my allergies are insane right now!! My eyes are super swollen and my nose is really stuffy. :( Sooo....I decided to look around my house, as usual, to look for things I don't really need and of course..I found stuff haha!! So if you want to know how I made this simple yet cute arrangement, just view below for easy tutorial :)

Materials Used:
-old towel
-white gift tissue paper
-glue gun/glue sticks
-red foam
-string

Since I had nothing as a base for my wreath, I found this towel..rolled it up, made a circle and secured everything by gluing. (careful not to burn yourself)

Cut white gift tissue paper in squares...A LOT!! I always stock up on tissue paper around Christmas time so I have tons :)

Fold in half.

Grab bottom ends and twist.

Glue all tissue paper to wreath making sure not to see the base and glue foam heart.

AND YOU'RE DONE!!!

'Remember you don't have to use the exact things I used. You can use whatever you can find!'

Hope you all enjoyed this tutorial and Happy Crafting!!
:D

DIY 3D Paper Hearts Garland

I have tons of construction paper I could have easily used to make these 3D hearts. But I really wanted to make this cute Valentine's Day project literally with things you can find around your house without having to go out to buy any materials. With this cold weather..who wants to go out?!? Not me!!! :) This DIY is super fun to make especially with your kids!!! So if you want to know what I used and how to do this, keep reading...

Materials Used:
-Composition Paper
-Scissors
-Highlighters (pink, purple, blue)
-Glue Stick
-Embroidery Thread

Steps
1. Fold 8 sheets of paper together in half
2. From the bottom corner of closed end, cut as if you're cutting half of a heart (view above pic). When opening, you will see all 8 symmetrical hearts.
3. Decorate your hearts as you please. I did some polka dots, strips, hearts and fully colored using highlighters.
4. Fold all hearts in half as they were, apply glue to each one on one side only and start stacking these cuties up.
5. After all are stacked on top of each other and glue is set..open it up, glue a string and glue the first heart and last heart together.
6. And you're DONE!!

You can hang these individually or glue a longer string to add several hearts so you can make an adorable garland like mine :)

HAPPY CRAFTING!!!!
